ODIHAM and Greywell’s young cricketers are once again in the hunt for Hampshire Cup honours after they reached the under-13 final against St Cross Syms.

Their 16-run victory at Old Tauntonians and Romsey put them there.

Odiham recovered from 18-3 after five overs, thanks to an excellent partnership by Jontie Sebborn (30 ret not out) and Billy Pocock (23).

Reiss Deere (32) shared an unbroken fifth-wicket partnership with James Passmore (10) as Odiham made 119-4 from their 20 overs.

Tight bowling from Deere and Sanjay Arulchelvam restricted Romsey to 31-2 from their first eight overs and Arthur Rowe (3-12) and Reece Lane pushed them further behind the run-rate as they finished on 103-7.

Five of the winning semi-final side were members of last season’s treble winning under-11 team.
