FORMER Saints keeper Michael Poke has returned to Hampshire - to sign for Portsmouth.

The 28-year-old has penned a two-year contract at Fratton Park after leaving Torquay United following their relegation back to the Conference Premier.

Poke played four games for Saints in the 2007/08 Championship season, keeping a clean sheet in the vital 1-0 win over Leicester in March 2008.

A few days later, though, Poke was left shattered by Saints’ 5-0 loss at Hull City and he never played for the club again.

On being released by Saints in the summer of 2010, Poke signed for Brighton. He moved onto Torquay two years later.
