I feel sorry for Lambert, all the way to Brazil for 10 mins of football. Why do England keep persisting with Rooney? I'm afraid as long as Hodgson is in charge we will not win anything.

England will lose 3-1 and come home with their heads down!

I could do a better job managing them than the current manager!

On the subject of Luke Shaw, the Daily Echo understands that despite Manchester United’s interest in the 18-year-old left back they have not at this time tabled a £34m for the youngster as has been rumoured.
Surely it can't be that someone been telling porkies, I find that hard to believe, wasn't it in The Times?

Good luck Luke, Adam but I feel to little to late. Roy H pick a few young players as if he was going for a new exciting team, then bottled it and as all England managers went to the players who seem to be in the team regardless of league performances .Luke and Adam have been outstanding this season but can only make the last game which means nothing to the fans really. If they are good enough now they should have been good enough to play the first games and drop the like of Welbeck, Rooney, Gerrard.be brave play the players that show desire and passion and fight and pride to play for their country. Don't play the players who think it is their right to play and then tell us they are thinking of retiring from the national team. What gives them to right to retire, Playing for your country is an honour. You are picked on being the best available at that time. saying you may retire is just a cowards way of saying I am not good enough.Let the youngsters play . let the hasbeens step down they have had their go time and time again and messed up every time

Story of this World Cup.
It is like watching someone at work, a nice guy, really trying and doing everything right, but failing to ever actually do a good job.
Given they all make a fortune and do well for their teams it is a bit pathetic really.
Are they overvalued? What does such an expensive bunch of men fail to get a result so consistently? What can be done to force them perform for England as well as they do for their clubs?

It can't be a lack of skill problem as the England players do well for their clubs, who reward them handsomely.
It must be a motivational and teamwork issues holding them back.
They need someone to beat them into shape. Force them to get results, make them fear losing.
Brian clough would have won us another World Cup if he had been made manager back in the seventies.
We need another cloughie.

Boring and uninspiring from the players but more especially from the manager. Get Hodgson out of it.

Suarez up to his old tricks again, this time in a world cup. fifa should ban him worldwide for a long time. the ban he got from he fa last time doesn't seem to have stopped him, I believe even got given some counselling last time. time for a 25 game worldwide ban. it may be harsh but he has to be taught a lesson! what else is going to stop him? a fine isn't going to bother a multi-millionaire. perhaps he should receive the same ban that cantona got!
at least it will keep englands flops off of the front and back page tomorrow!

Lambo got a GOAL in the warm up games - he enjoyed being part of the Squad although mainly on the BENCH ....

... and we all have the MEMORIES AS A SAINTS PLAYER when he came on to score with a header for his first Cap for ENGLAND.

Really his ENGLAND DAYS are over - as Roy prepares for the EUROS.

LOTS more time on the BENCH for Lambo - but he will be fondly remembered for a fantastic contribution at SFC.

If he wanted more playing time - he should have stayed with the MIGHTY SOUTHAMPTON to continue to keep his profile high and continue to be a TOP PLAYER - even if only as an impact Player for his last 2 seasons.

LFC will kill his career. SFC would have kept it ALIVE - FACT.

Regarding ROONEY.

He does not live up to his 5 STAR BILLING on the World Stage - not by a long way !!

It's always about HIM taking centre stage - no wonder he was greeted with all the whistles from the FANS.

BACK TO CLUB FOOTBALL - LET'S GET THE SIGNINGS IN FOR THE NEW SEASON and get the Momentum driving in the right direction.

LFC CALLOWAY MUST BE ON HOLLIDAY
Liverpool have just announced they will not be following up their interest in
Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana
Reports are coming out of Anfield saying our priority is now a striker due to the fact that our star striker Louis Suarez is unlikely to be wearing a Liverpool shirt next season. This is not due to the fact we have sold him for a nice little 70 million but due to the fact he has bitten an opponent for the THIRD FECKING TIMEand has been banned from all forms of football for 5 years
