BASINGSTOKE Town fans will honour long-serving kitman Derek Cailes by carrying on the good work he always did decorating the Camrose during the close season.
Cailes passed away last month following a short illness. He was a member of a small team of volunteers who gave up their time to give the Camrose a spruce up each summer.
This Saturday has been dedicated as Do it for Derek Day, with volunteers planning to tidy up and give the ground a fresh lick of paint.
All are welcome to go down and help out, with bacon sandwiches and drinks supplied to volunteers. Contact Paul Waller on 07887 563266 or wallerno1@btinternet.com for more information or to confirm your attendance.
