KERRY Hartnett smashed her way to an unbeaten century as Odiham and Greywell beat Wokingham to remain top of the Hampshire Cricket League Women’s Division One table.

Hartnett’s outstanding knock of 121 not out helped her side to 193-5. She then completed a fantastic day by taking 3-11 in the Wokingham reply, with Lara Barrett taking 3-48 as the hosts were bowled out for 127, giving Odiham a 66-run win.

The team dedicated their victory to Odiham’s bar manager, Donna Munt, who sadly passed away at the weekend.

The win means that Odiham have won three of their opening four games.

They began their season with a 47-run victory at Langley Manor. Hartnett made 81 as Odiham were bowled out for 151, but good bowling from Emily Simpson (3-7) and Sian Tiley (3-9) resulted in Langley being dismissed for 104.

They then suffered their first defeat of the season, going down by 74 runs at home to Cove. The visitors made 253-6 and while captain Becky Hartnett hit an unbeaten 83, Odiham were restricted to 179-8.

However, they were soon back on the winning track, beating visiting Aldershot by six wickets in their next game. Barrett took 5-9 as Aldershot were dismissed for just 78, with Becky Hartnett hitting 44 as Odiham got home for the loss of four wickets.

In Division Two, Hartley Wintney lost by three wickets at home to Eversley at the weekend. Natasha Dawe hit 56 as Hartley were bowled out for 111 and while they took seven wickets in the Eversley reply, the visitors got over the line.

Earlier in the season, Hartley went down to a 155-run defeat at home to Finchampstead, being bowled out for 48 chasing the visitors’ total of 203-6.
