BASINGSTOKE and North Hants completed a double winning weekend as they beat visiting Fair Oak by four wickerts in the first round of the Southern League T20 Cup.
The home side won the toss and put Fair Oak into bat and scored 179-8 as opener Greig Stewart top scored with 57 (36 balls, four sixes and four sixes).
Dave Pistorius (2-14) off two overs and Dan Coombs (2-25) off three overs were the chief wicket takers.
The Bountymen won the game with five balls to spare after Dan Coombs 40 (27 balls, six fours) and Andy Niblett 48 (22 balls, four fours and four sixes) set the platform.
The victory was completed by Steve Bucksey with an unbeaten 41 (24 balls, six fours and one six).
Underdogs Hartley Wintney beat Division Two leaders New Milton, as they bowled them out for 127 as they tried to chase down Hartley's 164-7.
