BRADLEY Sutton continued his excellent start to the year by competing in an international competition in Barcelona.

The 15-year-old from Hatch Warren was in action in the 17-to-18-years category against competitors from right across Europe.

This followed on from his third place in the national triathlon which included a swim, shoot and combined event (run, shoot).

He then topped off the month of May with an outstanding win in the GB Series Biathle (run, swim, run) in Hull.

His continued success and dedication to training has won the Brighton Hill Community School pupil a place on the Great Britain Modern Pentathlon World Class Talent Programme with immediate effect.

Sutton now has a busy June, which starts with the defence of his World Tour Biathle title in Italy, followed by the national Pentathlon (swim, fence, ride, shoot and run) at the end of June in Solihull.

He has also been selected to take part in the European Biathle Championships in Portugal in July, where he expects to improve upon his fifth position in 2013 and claim a podium place.
