ODIHAM'S England hockey star Alex Danson failed to find the net in the opening two games of the World Cup in the Netherlands.
England lost their opener against the United States 2-1, with Kate Richardson-Walsh scoring the only goal.
In their second game, England went down 3-0 to China and so their hopes of progressing to the semi-finals look to be slim.
England’s three remaining Group B games will see them face South Africa later today, Argentina on Sunday and Germany on Tuesday.
