Hampshire have Michael Carberry available for tomorrow's Natwest T20 Blast match against Essex at The Ageas Bowl (7pm start).
England have released Carberry from the ODI squad so he can play for his county.
Meanwhile, Owais Shah is set for the last game of his three-match deal, ahead of Glenn Maxwell's return.
Off-spinner Brad Taylor, 17, would make his home debut against county opposition, having become the Hampshire's youngest first-class player last season.
Essex have won the two T20 games they have played this season but are without Graham Napier, David Masters and Tymal Mills, who are all injured, as well as England's Ravi Bopara and Ryan ten Doeschate (IPL).
Hampshire (from): Vince(c), Abbott, Adams, Bates, Briggs, Carberry, Coles, Ervine, Gatting, Shah, Smith, Taylor, Wheater, Wood
