JUSTIN Rose finished 25th in the PGA Championship at Wentworth after a final round of 71 (-1) on Sunday.

Once again Rose started with a bogey on the first hole, before hitting birdies on holes four and eight, which was either side of another bogey on six.

The back nine was also a mixed bag of three birdies and two bogeys.

It saw the north Hampshire golfer finish on 284 (-4) some 10 shots behind eventual winner Rory McIlroy.

He won the tournament by one shot from Shane Lowry after overnight leader Thomas Bjorn blew a six shot lead to finish joint third with Luke Donald, two shots behind the winner.
