OVERTON United and AFC Aldermaston had very different results on the final day of the Hampshire Premier League season.
Goals from Oliver Bode, Myles Englefield, Chris Lavisher and Jamie Smith saw Overton record a 4-1 victory away at Hedge End Rangers on Saturday, a result that means they end the season fifth in the table.
However, it was not such a good day for Aldermaston, who suffered a 5-1 defeat away at champions Baffins Milton Rovers. Michael Porter scored the visitors’ lone reply but it has been an excellent couple of months for Terry Rooney’s men, who ended up 10th in the table.
