ALL the family can play tennis for free at Totally Tennis on Sunday, May 18, and Sunday, June 22, as part of the Lawn Tennis Association’s Great British Tennis Weekends.

Along with other tennis centres across the country, including 42 events in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, the club will be offering free tennis and coaching for people of all ages and abilities.

Sessions will be available for adults, juniors and families at the indoor centre at the War Memorial Park on May 18, while Stratton Park, in Kempshott, will be the venue on June 22.

The adult drills taster session (1.30pm to 2.15pm and 3pm to 3.45pm) is ideal for everyone new to the sport or those who have not picked up a racket in a long time.

Rackets can be borrowed.

There is mini and junior tennis (2.15pm to 3pm), where Totally Tennis coaches will be on hand to offer tips.

Family time (1.30pm to 4pm on the outside courts) is the chance for all the family to have fun.

Modified balls and rackets will be provided for the younger players and coaches will be available to give the entire family some pointers.

Cakes and tea will be available in the pavilion after the sessions and 10 players participating throughout the country have the chance to win a brtand new Babolat racket.
