FM ECLIPSE Netball Club, sponsored by Hampshire based company Box IT, have been crowned Basingstoke Netball League Premier Division champions.

The squad, pictured right, had a very impressive season, as they won 10 of their 11 matches, notching up a huge goal difference of 221.

Their nearest rivals, Global Crossing, won eight games and finished with a goal difference of 40.

Eclipse’s latest title came after spectacular success in previous seasons in the Andover and Salisbury leagues.

The club then made a conscious decision to push their players more than previous years by entering a more challenging competition in 2014.

Winning the league crown is evidence that the change of focus has paid off for the club.

Eclipse’s delighted captain Laura White said: “Our aim for the season was to win the league and that was achieved through commitment to training and putting in 100 per effort on court at all times. I couldn’t be more pleased with the result.”

Whilst the club is enjoying this success, they are not going to sit back and rest on their laurels.

Coach Kathryn Evans added: “The club has exciting plans for the future. We will continue to build on the playing depth across the club.

“We are actively recruiting for new players over the summer to build on our achievements and are already looking forward to next season.”
