No place for Osvaldo

Basingstoke Gazette: Dani Osvaldo Dani Osvaldo

SAINTS loanee Dani Osvaldo was not needed as Juventus took a huge step towards winning the Serie A title last night.

The Turin giants came from behind to beat Sassuolo 3-1 and move eight points clear of Roma at the top of the standings with three games remaining.

Juve will now claim a third successive league title if Roma fail to win at Catania on Sunday or if they come out triumphant at home to Atalanta in their next league game.

Osvaldo sat on the bench for the entire 90 minutes last night, meaning he is still waiting to score his first league goal for Juve since joining them on loan at the end of January.

Last night’s win was Juve's 30th of the campaign and allowed Conte's side to remain on course for a record-breaking points haul.

They are seven points away from becoming the first club to break the 100-points barrier in Italy's top flight.

Juve must now focus their attention on Thursday's Europa League semi-final return leg against Benfica in Turin.

The Bianconeri must overturn a 2-1 deficit if they are to be involved in the final on May 14 that will be played in their home stadium.

Osvaldo’s only two goals for Juve have both come in the Europa League, both against Trabzonspor.

They must rate him a bit , he was on the bench? I think they will buy him in the summer but will jerk us about with the price, I suspect the two clubs will agree on £10million lets hope

It's very disappointing that Osvaldo could not control his temper and Southampton may not want him back because he cost a lot of money that he would of had a cut which obviously Players forget but MoPo did know he had a short fuse.

I was at St Marys when he scored against Man City it was fantastic goal and we could certainly do with him until the end of the season, we will never know if he would of been scoring regularly but if he does return he could come back to another Manager according to an ex Saint Mat Oakley who said on Tony Husbands late Football show that MoPo will leave and go to Spurs, does HE know something I wonder? I sincerely hope not

Please relax all Southampton Fans because I am.
The Very Very Special One Mauricio Potchettino will not be leaving Southampton thank goodness because De Boer the Ajax Manager is in talks with Spurs and wants the job, he was approached by Liverpool before Brendon Rogers got the job and Spurs want it kept quiet, oh really??

Of course it's speculation but goodness knows what will happen at Spurs when De Boer, MoPo and Ruud Gullits admission and mate who already has the job Van Gaal arrive at Levy's Office door, the mind boggles with the 3 paraded in front of Levy and he's spoilt for choice, I'll make a quick decision for Levy, I think Van Gaal no on 2nd thoughts De Boer and without bias I suggest MoPo goes back to the best team in the Premiership Southampton and we can all live happily ever after ah
Doesn't it make everyone puke this ruddy tittle tattle? I hate it

Southampton Legend Oh very nice thank you, obviously you need to find a sense of humour and look in the Dictionary the words cynical and sarcasm because that's what my comment is after all the speculation regarding Players and Manager at Southampton FC, perhaps you are the only person who's not fed up and I promise you I'll be serious in the future, perhaps you will come out with sensible opinions and post your comments about my Team Southampton and I assume your Team rather than a silly swipe at me
