GOALS from Alex Spencer and James Arris earned New Inn the Hampshire Junior A Cup, the Basingstoke and District Saturday League side beating Compton 2-0 in the final at AFC Portchester.
It took them just five minutes to go ahead, Spencer slotting home Matt Bennett's cross, while Arris and Joe Richardson went close to adding to the lead.
Compton missed a great chance on the half-an-hour mark and were made to pay almost immediately, Arris firing in a volley to double the lead.
Gordon Birch made an important goal-line clearance for New Inn early in the second half, while Luke Richardson and Chris Woods both went close for the Basingstoke side.
Both sides ended the game with 10 men following a confrontation 23 minutes from time, with Bennett the New Inn man to see red.
