BRETT Denham hit a hat-trick as Tadley Calleva wrapped up their Wessex League Division One campaign with a 4-1 victory over visiting Fleet Spurs on Saturday.

Tadley took the lead after just 30 seconds as the striker put them ahead after being played through by Tol Sotonye, while Denham’s second has the hosts two goals up at half-time.

Shaun Dallimore headed a third after the break, while Denham completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot after Ash Ledger was brought down in the area.

Tadley lost full-back Spencer Barlow to a red card in the closing stages, while Fleet managed a late consolation to deny the hosts a clean sheet.

The result means that Tadley end the season fifth in the table, while they still have the Basingstoke Senior Cup final to look forward to on home turf tomorrow night.

Manager Danny Dolan said: “I am really pleased with the way the season has gone. To finish fifth is more than we had hoped for and getting to a cup final as well means it has been a successful year.

“We have only lost two games since Christmas and if we can start next season the way we ended this one, hopefully we can break into the top four.”
