BASINGSTOKE Sports and Social Club will once again be holding a Bank Holiday Sports Community Family Fun Day on Sunday, May 4.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural fun day, the club at May’s Bounty is throwing its doors open again.

The day will run from midday to 3pm, with a host of sports on offer for children to try including rugby, squash, football and cricket – and a bouncy castle.

The pavilion will be open for the day and there will be a barbecue, as well as prizes and competitions.

Free parking is available and will be on the rugby field behind May’s Bounty, which can be accessed via Bounty Road.

Andy Giles, chairman of the cricket section, said: “The day is all about promoting what is going on at the club. We are close to the town centre, but I think people forget we are there.

“All the sections are once again looking forward to making it a great day and there is certainly something for everyone.”
