TADLEY Calleva A’s chances of winning the Basingstoke and District Saturday League Division One title suffered a blow as they were held 0-0 by Overton United A.
Overton had the best chance of the first half, Ross Soper-Dyer hitting the crossbar, while Tadley went close through Jake Young and Kieran Condon in the closing stages.
Skewers are now hot favourites to claim the title, but second place is very much up for grabs.
Bramley United looked to be moving a step closer to it when leading Pure Spartan 2-0 last Wednesday, but having started the game with nine men, the game was abandoned when Pure had two men red carded.
A disciplinary hearing will decide the outcome, while Bramley will be handed the points after Chineham Albion, their opponents on Saturday, failed to raise a team.
