BASINGSTOKE and District Sunday League Division Two champions Lamb Inn were in top form at the weekend, hammering AFC Hook 6-0.
Dean Hill hit a hat-trick, while Mark Howell scored twice and Peter Lomax also found the net for Lamb, who denied Chineham the runners-up spot by holding them to a 2-2 draw last Tuesday.
Ross Cook and Reece Chapman had the champions two goals ahead at half-time and while Shane Webb struck twice to earn his side a point, Chineham had to win to keep alive their hopes of taking second place from South View.
Hampshire Irons overcame a stubborn Eastrop Eagles side to claim a 7-4 win, after the sides had been level at 1-1, 2-2 and 3-3. Craig Hopper hit a hat-trick for Irons, with Daniel Kilmartin, Dean James, Jack Williams and Jack Miller also finding the net.
Last Tuesday, Eastrop Eagles beat RAF Odiham Blades 2-1.
