BASINGSTOKE and North Hants will face Hook and Newnham Basics for the first time in a league encounter in the Southern Premier League Division One at May's Bounty on Saturday June 14.

The return will be at the King George V Playing Fields on August 16 and both encounters are sure to hotly contested and both sides having new captains as Chris Froud will lead the Bountymen and Matt Love is now in charge at Hook.

The Bountymen will be looking to make it two consecutive promotions after winning Division Two last year.

They open their campaign away at the Division One champions in 2012 Sarisbury Athletic on May 3.

The first home game will be against Hambledon a week later and both games have a 1pm start.

Hook and Newnham Basics who finished fifth in the division last summer open their campaign with two tough home games against New Milton and Sarisbury who were third and second last season.

Hartley Wintney relegated from Division One last summer will be hoping to bounce straight back up this year.

They like Hook open with a couple of home games against Sparsholt and Rowledge, who like them were relegated last season.
