READING'S Championship play-off hopes suffered a setback as they lost 3-1 at promotion rivals Bournemouth on Tuesday night.

The Cherries led 3-0 by half-time as Matt Richie scored twice and Yann Kermorgant with a header.

Hal Robson-Kanu scored a consolation for Reading on 75 minutes.

The Royals are still sixth in the table, but are only two points clear of three teams including Bournemouth.
