- FULL-TIME - Basingstoke Town 2-3 Chelmsford City
- Injury-time winner gives struggling Chelmsford a vital victory at the Camrose.
- Christian Smith own-goal gives Town the lead on 10 minutes but he makes amends from the penalty spot five minutes later.
- Liam Enver-Marum puts the hosts back in front early in the second half.
- Michael Cheek levels for Chelmsford with 15 minutes left and wins the game for the visitors in stoppage-time.
That's all for tonight. Join me again on Saturday, when Town host Bishop's Stortford.
Tonight's result leaves Town 14th in the Conference South. They are eight points clear of the bottom three, but could do with another win.
A post-match interview with Basingstoke Town manager Jason Bristow can be found by clicking here.
There's still an inquest going on out on the pitch. Could be another interesting post-match interview.
Reaction to follow.
Reading lost 3-1 at Bournemouth. However, England will have at least one team in the semi-finals of the Champions League. Chelsea beat PSG 2-0 and are through on away goals.
Another bad defeat for Town. They only really played well for about 15 minutes and must get some points soon to avoid being sucked into trouble near the bottom of the table.
Basingstoke Town 2-3 Chelmsford City
90+1 - Basingstoke Town 2-3 Chelmsford City - Michael Cheek
Oh dear. Jenkinson gives the ball away in midfield and Chelmsford are through. Hughes finds Ward and his low ball across the area reaches MICHAEL CHEEK at the far post and he fires past Wells.
89 - Williams goes down under a challenge in the area. Surely that's a penalty? No, the referee has given a free-kick the other way. Not sure why.
88 - Chelmsford threaten on the break but Town just about deal with it.
86 - Cheek does well to beat Nathan Smart but he fires well wide of the far post.
85 - The ball drops to Daly on the edge of the area, but he blasts well wide. A decent opening for the Town captain.
82 - Chelmsford City - Joe Ward on for Luke Callander.
79 - Matthew Lock attempts an audacious effort from the halfway line. Wells is beaten and relieved to see the ball drop a couple of feet wide.
76 - Town almost regain the lead immediately, but a low ball across goal just evades Williams.
75 - Basingstoke Town 2-2 Chelmsford City - Michael Cheek
Too easy from a Town point of view. Leon Redwood's cross from the left finds an unmarked MICHAEL CHEEK, who places an accurate header into the far corner.
73 - Enver-Marum gets beyond the Chelmsford defence and lobs the ball over the onrushing Pentney, but Smith gets back to clear off the line.
72 - That should have been an equaliser. The corner came in from the right and it was a free header for Miller, but he headed wide.
71 - Chelmsford's Hughes lets fly from distance but it takes a deflection on its way wide.
70 - Chelmsford City - Tom Davis on for Nicky Nicolau.
68 - Soares gets in down the right but Chelmsford 'keeper Pentney is down to claim his low centre.
67 - A free-kick into the Town area just evades St Aimie.
66 - Mark Hughes - Chelmsford City
Williams is brought down by Hughes, who picks up a booking.
63 - Chelmsford City - Kieran St Aimie on for Sam Long.
61 - Nicolau puts in a cross from the left. It catches Wells out and hits the Town post.
The ball falls to Callander but he cannot turn it home, with Jay Gasson making the block, while Hughes fires narrowly wide from the edge of the area.
60 - More direct play from Chelmsford. Callander knocks the ball down for Cheek, who lets fly with a powerful drive that isn't far wide.
58 - A couple of scares in the Town area but the hosts survive.
56 - Basingstoke Town 2-1 Chelmsford City - Liam Enver-Marum
Town deserve that after making a fine start to the second period. Hickford totally misses his kick on the edge of the area and the ball drops for LIAM ENVER-MARUM, who finishes clinically.
Town's improvement has coincided with a change in formation. Soares has been shunted forward to make it a 4-3-3 formation, giving McAuley a free role.
51 - Chelmsford break but Callander fires well over from distance.
50 - Town have shown much more intensity since the break and McAuley is in down the left channel. He takes Pentney out of the game but Harry Hickford hacks clear.
49 - Another presentable chance for Town as Green's cross finds Williams, but he can only head wide.
47 - Inches away for Town. Daly plays McAuley in down the right channel and Pentney just gets a touch on his angled drive. It still only just flashes wide, just evading Enver-Marum.
46 - Chelmsford right-back Justin Miller cuts inside but his left-footed shot is weak and straight at Wells.
Town get the second half under way. No changes for either side.
The players make their way out for the second half. Doesn't look like there will be any changes.
Not great news for Reading fans. They trail 3-0 at Bournemouth. Chelsea are still 1-0 up.
A decent half, entertainment-wise, but Town were second best for most of it. Chelmsford's front two caused all sorts of problems, while their high-intensity pressing stopped the hosts playing out from the back.
Basingstoke Town 1-1 Chelmsford City
45+1 - Close for Town. Enver-Marum did well down the left before laying the ball back for Green. His powerful shot was well saved by Pentney, with Nicky Nicolau's challenge denying Soares on the follow up.
Town claim a penalty but it looked a good challenge to me.
There will be two minutes of added time at the end of the half.
41 - Enver-Marum lets fly from the edge of the Chelmsford area but the visitors get a body in the way and it's deflected wide.
41 - Rice is back on, but he's limping badly.
39 - McAuley breaks from a corner and Town have two-on-two. He feeds Williams but the return ball is too far ahead of McAuley and the chance goes begging.
Rice is down injured. Not sure he is going to be able to continue.
38 - Almost another goal from Smith, whose free-header from a free-kick is only kept out by an excellent save by Wells. Town's defending has been terrible so far.
Better from Town in the last couple of minutes. They are keeping the ball a bit better.
Chelsea are 1-0 up against Paris Saint-Germain at Stamford Bridge. 3-2 on aggregate. One more needed.
Town have announced that their game against Concord Rangers will be played on Wednesday, April 23.
31 - Good play down the right from Town and Soares' low ball in is well dealt with by Pentney.
Town just can't deal with Chelmsford's direct approach. Cheek and Callander are winning every header and posing problems in behind the defence.
28 - Cheek gets a flick on and Callender's shot is deflected behind for a corner, but Town clear.
27 - Callander manages to get a shot away in the Town area but Nathan Smart is on hand to hack away from his own six-yard line.
25 - Williams flicks the ball on and Smith does well to stop Enver-Marum getting a clear run on the Chelmsford goal.
23 - Again Chelmsford get in behind as Cheek skins Jay Gasson for pace. Rice is covering and that's an excellent tackle. He had to get that right or it was a penalty and a red card.
20 - That's a massive chance. Town just don't look comfortable at the back and Rice completely misses his kick.
That gives Mark Hughes the chance to cross for Cheek and he looks set to score, but can only head wide from close range. He should have scored.
18 - McAuley's cross is just too high for Liam Enver-Marum.
Town haven't been too good so far. There were a couple more dodgy moments at the back between the two goals. Chelmsford seem able to get in behind the Town defence almost at will.
15 - Basingstoke Town 1-1 Chelmsford City - Christian Smith (pen)
CHRISTIAN SMITH makes amends for his own-goal by slotting home from the spot. Wells went the right way but it was a good penalty.
14 - Wes Daly brings down Callander and the referee points to the spot.
10 - Basingstoke Town 1-0 Chelmsford City - Christian Smith (og)
That's a horrible goal for the visitors to concede. Manny Williams got in down the left side of the area and two Chelmsford defenders attempted to cut out his cut-back.
CHRISTIAN SMITH sticks a foot out but can only deflect the ball over his own goalkeeper and in.
9 - Almost a chance for Chelmsford's Sam Long, but Green cuts out the pass. Justin Miller lets fly from distance, but it's way wide.
9 - Been quite a bright start and Jenkinson lets fly from 25 yards. It's a good low effort that had Pentney worried as it zipped narrowly wide.
6 - Another chance, this time for Callender, but his header deflects off Robbie Rice and behind for a corner, which Town manage to clear.
5 - More last-ditch defending, this time by Adam Green, to stop Cheek getting a clear run on goal. The visitors' front two look dangerous.
3 - Big chance for the visitors there. Andrew Jenkinson gifted Luke Callander the ball in a terrible area and he fed Michael Cheek. Jay Gasson did brilliantly to track his run and make a crucial challenge.
2 - Soares had the shot. It was low and on target but Chelmsford goalkeeper Carl Pentney always had it covered, though it bounced awkwardly in front of him.
1 - McAuley is brought down in a dangerous area. A central position about 25 yards from goal.
Chelmsford get the game under way. They are shooting towards the Clubhouse End of the ground in the first half.
Reading are also in action tonight, away at Bournemouth. I'll try to keep you up to date with that too.
And here they come. Only handshakes and the toss between us and kick-off now.
The sun has gone down enough that it won't be a factor. Players are in the tunnel waiting to make their entrance.
The teams are just making their way in for their final preparations. It's a lovely evening, but the sun is very low. Could pose a problem if it doesn't duck below the trees before kick-off.
Like Saturday, tonight's game is more important for the opposition than it is for Town.
Basingstoke are 14th but could move up a place with a win tonight. Chelmsford are in the bottom three, but a win tonight could see them move above five other teams.
Basingstoke Town: Wells, Smart, Green, Jenkinson, Gasson, Rice, Daly, McAuley, Enver-Marum, Williams, Soares. Subs: Adams, Holder-Spooner, Barrett, Johnson-Schuster, Ibe.
Chelmsford City: Pentney, Miller, Redwood, Lock, Hickford, Smith, Long, Hughes, Callander, Cheek, Nicolau. Subs: St Aimie, Ward, Greene, Davis, Patterson.
Just one change to the Town side that lost at Tonbridge Angels on Saturday, Louie Soares coming in for Nicholas Bignall, who is a bit sore after playing two games in three days. Probably a return to 4-4-2, with Soares and McAuley on the wings.
