A strike from Danny Wiiliams proved to be the winner, as Reading kept their Championship hopes alive with a 1-0 win at Charlton.
The midfielder scored the only goal of the game after 73 minutes, after good work from Danny Guthrie.
The Royals are next in action on Tuesday night away at Bournemouth.
