TADLEY Calleva’s impressive run of form continued as they have now lost only once in their last 12 outings, following two more wins in the Wessex League and Basingstoke Senior Cup.

After booking a home semi-final tie against Alton Town in the Senior Cup thanks to a 1-0 win over Overton United, Tadley enjoyed a 3-2 success at New Milton.

The Hampshire side travelled south for the league encounter and they took the lead after six minutes, after Brett Denham scored from a header across goal from Shaun Dallimore.

The visitors doubled their advantage, after Andrew Charsley’s free-kick came back off the crossbar and James Tennant put away the rebound.

New Milton pulled a goal back from a harsh penalty and then the home side had a player sent-off harshly for a late challenge on Denham.

After the break, the game became a scrappy affair and Tennant netted his second to make it 3-1.

The home side pulled a goal back, but Tadley had other chances to make the game safe and Tammy Sotonye was denied one-on-one.

Last Thursday, Tadley enjoyed a 1-0 win over Overton as Denham scored the winner after 24 minutes, and it would have been more if not for the impressive Sean O’Brien in goal for Overton.

This weekend, sixth placed Tadley entertain Team Solent who sit just above them in the table and four days later they are away to Amesbury.
