Loddon Vale suffer home loss
BOWLS: THERE was a certain amount of inevitability when Loddon Vale met the Essex President’s Bowls Tour last Monday, writes Norman Figg.
These tours are always full of powerful players and this was no exception with the tourists won 172-120. There were no winning rinks for the home side and the losing rinks were skipped by Ian Laming (19-17), Alan Smith (16-15), John Holmes (22-19), Brian Ambler (30-14), Paul Knowles (21-17), Tony Miller (22-13), Steve Foyle (20-13) and Robin Voller (22-15).
