END OF FIRST PERIOD - Bison 0 Wildcats 1

A hard hitting opening 20 minutes very entertaining and the Bison are unlucky not to be level. I was worried before the game started about  referees Matthews and Hogarth and they missed a lot already.

Hope they have a better last 40 minutes.

Game underway Dean Skinns guards the pipes for the Bison and former. Herd man Stevie Lyle is in goal for Swindon.

Team news Bison are at full strength, while Swindon rest Tomas Fojtik so their four imports are Jonas Hoog, Henri Sandvik and Jan Kostal and Aku Pekkarinen and the first three are the players the Bison have to stop along with top Brit Aaron Nell.

The Bison still head the EPL after their title rivals the Manchester Phoenix, used up one of their two games in hand on Thursday night and lost at Peterborough. So victory tonight will keep the Bison top, but it is not going to be easy against a very dangerous Swindon team.

Good evening and welcome to tonight's game between the Basingstoke Bison and Swindon Wildcats.
