WE ARE in the middle of a really gruelling schedule of games at the moment.

After a frustrating draw against Maidenhead on Saturday, we progressed to the final of the Hampshire Senior Cup on Tuesday.

Tonight we visit Farnborough, then on Saturday we travel to Dover, before hosting Eastbourne on Tuesday.

It is a real test of character for the players to be able to perform with games every other day.

On Saturday, we started the game very well and played some fantastic football, but, after going two goals ahead, we let those levels drop and allowed Maidenhead to come back into the game. To be two goals up and not win is obviously very disappointing, but credit to Maidenhead for coming back so well.

On Tuesday we lost a two-goal lead again but credit to the players for digging deep, finishing strongly and getting the result to put us in a final at Fratton Park.

We have a few injury problems at the moment. Shaun McAuley will miss a few games with a rib injury, Wes Daly has a problem with his knee and Neil Barrett has a tight hamstring.

The players are doing all they can in between games to ensure they are prepared for the next one and will be giving their all in the remaining games.

It would be great if everyone in the town could get behind the players and show their support as they try to get through this busy period.

Regards,

Jason
