RYAN Sutton scored twice in the last 15 minutes as Basingstoke Buffalo produced a great comeback to draw with visiting Invicta Mustangs last Sunday.

The home side looked to be heading for defeat with 15 minutes left as they trailed by three goals, but man-of-the-match Sutton gave his team hope as he converted a pass from Dave Collins.

Rob Tambellini then netted the Buffalo’s fourth goal and a minute later Sutton, from Nathan Moss, struck again to tie the game 5-5.

Earlier in the contest, the home side took the lead from Alex Sampford at 6:31, but by the first buzzer the Kent visitors led 2-1.

Matt Lawday equalised for the Buffalo, as he put away a pass from Greg Martyn.

However, by the second buzzer, the visitors had a 4-2 advantage and netted another goal four minutes into the final period.

The Buffalo then surged back to tie the match and, with it, extend their unbeaten run to two games.

The team are at home again on Sunday (face-off 6.30pm) when they entertain Cardiff Devils, and could well have some of the young Bison Brits in their line-up.

Basingstoke under-16 Bison suffered an 8-2 defeat at the hands of visitors Slough.

Connor Hutchison scored their first goal and then Hallam Wilson scored their second, assisted by Daniel Moss.
