LODDON Vale bowls club's ladies enjoyed a 103-54 victory in the Riversmeet against Five Rivers.
Vale’s winning rinks were Pauline Oxlade (32-15) and Tina Rogers (30-14), while Kay Kerley lost 14-13 and Karen Winter 28-11.
Their last match of the season is against Atherley on Saturday.
Vale’s recent open days proved a great success as the club has gained 44 new members.
In a friendly Vale beat Basingstoke Town 126-104 last Sunday.
The winning rinks were Ian Laming (37-11), Alan Tait (29-9) and John Hilton (22-12). The losing rinks were Steve Foyle (20-18), Frank Fuller (22-12) and Fred Goddard (30-8).
The following day, Vale lost 157-130 against a team from the Isle of Wight.
Vale’s only winning rinks were Goddard (23-10) and the ever-impressive Terry Jones (27-18).
The less than successful rinks were Ernie Sparrowhawk (22-19), John Holmes (22-17), Laming (18-11), Tait (19-11), Tony Miller (26-14) and Brian Ambler (22-8).
The play-offs for the Wessex League start on Sunday and East Division champions Loddon Vale are up against Bournemouth.
