THE Basingstoke Blizzards recorded an excellent 74-58 victory in their latest league outing against the visiting Chiltern Fast Break.
They never looked back after three-pointers by Rob Gerrard, Joey Haynes and Josh Klein saw them lead 21-11 at the first buzzer.
The second quarter saw some very strong Blizz-ards defending, which extended the advantage to 34-19 at half-time.
After the break, Chiltern clawed their way back to just nine points behind.
At this point, the Blizzards called a time-out and by the third buzzer the score was 50-39 to the home side.
After the break, Gerrard hit consecutive threes and Aaron Taylorson finished off the night with two shots from behind the arc himself, as the Blizzards won 74-58.
Scoring: Gerrard 40pts, Taylorson 16, Klein 8, Paddon 5, Haynes 3, Mavronicholas 2.
