Saints' games against Manchester City and Everton next month have been selected for live television coverage.

Mauricio Pochettino's men will still travel to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, April 5, but kick-off will now take place at 12.45pm, with BT Sport screening the match.

The home clash with Everton, on Saturday, April 26, will also be shown by the same channel, with kick-off again scheduled for 12.45pm.

Don't get what you're all complaining about. Fans do not matter in football anymore. The only people who truly matter in football are the TV companies

Don't get too excited because if Chelsea progress in the Champions League they will be given our TV spot on that day due to them playing mid-week so our game will get bumped to Sunday or Monday.

Probably because Premier Clubs get more from TV than they do from the humble supporter, but you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, and the better we do, the more we get.

Do you not think I know how much these TV deals are worth?!?!? Anyway, Saints will never be a top top club with the likes of City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool around. You can dream it, but it aint gonna happen.

Not sure what it is worth, I'll try a bit of research, but looking at the Sky games for April we don't feature in any of them so no booty there then. Thanks for letting me have a dream, but I am also a realist, it would take a great deal of wisely invested money to give us a chance of challenging the top elite sides, but nothing is impossible, they all probably at one stage thought the same way, but did something about it.

It's worth millions to all involved. TV companies, PL and clubs. You're right it would need huge amounts of money to get us challenging with the top elite sides- that I can't see happening due to our philosophy. If we couldn't be bothered to sign anyone in January, despite badly needing a striker what makes you think we'll suddenly start investing soon? What they did about it was bring in rich foreign investment, to buy ready made players and slowly but surely ruin the English game.

Not sure what you mean by that, what rich foreign investment? There is no harm in buying a couple of class signings to fill the gaps and teach our home grown players how to do things right? We can only get what we can afford, it has to be sensible.

Sorry, I misunderstood, I think you mean that the big Clubs used foreign investment, yes I guess that investment was whole point and it has worked for them, but how will the new Financial Rules affect things?

I never mentioned Saints. I was referring to the likes of City, Chelsea etc who never give young English talent a chance to show what they can do, instead buying multi million pounds worth of talent. Joe Hart is the only English player who is a regular starter for City- and even then he was dropped this season. From the top of my head Gary Cahill is the only English player eligible to play for the England team who is a regular starter for Chelsea.

Yes, sorry I worked that out too late, these Clubs and their fans wanted the best players available in the World to play for them, there are simply not enough UK players to fit the bill, so money has to be spent to bring the overseas talent in, we are fairly unique in the foresight shown to set up an Academy to glean the best of British, but that in itself isn't enough to create a World beating team.
