AFTER a long break, we finally returned to league action last week with a good win away against Bath City.

It was a good team performance and a deserved three points for the players. They have worked really hard when the games have been postponed and it showed as they put in a real fluent performance.

We now enter a period that is going to test the squad to the maximum. With games on Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, next Saturday and next Tuesday, it is going to be tough for everyone - but it is a period that we are looking forward to.

We start off with a visit from Maidenhead United on Saturday. They will be a very hard-working side who will be looking for three points for their own cause. We need to ensure that we are on top form if we mate going to pick up maximum points.

Then, on Tuesday, we visit Gosport Borough in the Hampshire Senior Cup semi-final. Gosport have shown they are a fantastic cup side by reaching the FA Trophy final at Wembley, so this will be another real test for us.

The only real injury concern we have is over Shaun McAuley. He took a nasty blow to the ribs on Saturday and is very doubtful for the Maidenhead game, but Adam Green has served his suspension and is back available.

The academy is recruiting for next season's intake. The last trials saw a lot of talent and we are excited about the new intake. If anyone is interested, please do not hesitate to contact the club.

Regards,

Jason
