A THREE-DAY London Irish Rugby Camp held at Basingstoke RFC’s Down Grange home proved to be a great success last week.
Over 40 players aged between six and 14 attended and enjoyed the coaching provided by the London Irish community team.
The camps covered all the core skills of the game, from breaking a push pass down into micro skills on the first morning, to an intense breakdown exercise on the last afternoon.
In between all the skills work there were fun, inclusive games for each participant to fine tune their play.
There was also a very popular question and answer session with London Irish players Guy Armitage and Halani Aulika, who dropped in to Down Grange.
All players who attended the camp received a matchday ticket to see a London Irish game at the Madejski Stadium.
