Dani Osvaldo believes he has adapted well to life at Juventus, after opening his account for the Italian side.

The Saints record signing, left, netted the first goal in Thursday night’s 2-0 Europa League victory over Turkish club Trabzonspor, in Turin.

Osvaldo, who joined Juve on transfer deadline day last month, said: “It’s been great, mostly because of the result, but I’m obviously also pleased with the goal.”

Osvaldo, who started alongside Carlos Tevez in attack, added: “It’s easy to work alongside Tevez. He’s a phenomenal player, so an understanding with him would no doubt come naturally to anyone.

“Besides Tevez, I also feel comfortable with the team as a whole. I’m happy because I think I’ve adapted quite well to playing with them right from the start.”

Osvaldo was moved on from Saints after a training ground incident in which he allegedly headbutted teammate José Fonte. Juventus hold an option to purchase him at the end of the season, for a fee of about £15.6m, payable over three years.
