Loddon Vale beat Riverside in bowls friendly
LODDON Vale beat Riverside 124-98 in a friendly last Sunday, writes NORMAN FIGG.
The winning rinks were skipped by Ian Laming (23-12), John Holmes (24-14), Mick Jones (23-20), Brian Ambler (17-14) and Frank Fuller (17-16). There was just one rink that did not make the grade, skipped by Alan Tait (22-20).
The club is throwing open its doors to new bowlers today and tomorrow from 10am until 4pm. All are welcome to come and try out the game at one of the best facilities in the country, which is based at the Leisure Park.
There are no matches this weekend, with the next round of the Riversmeet on Saturday, March 1.
