LAST time I wrote, it was six games in 11 days. Now it’s just four games in eight days!

Two down and four points in the bag. We had a trip to Sheffield on Wednesday and now face a top-of-the-table match on Saturday against Manchester. The Herd is on the move.

Stuart Mogg is one of the young players who have contributed so much to our success this season.

Despite feeing unwell, he played against Milton Keynes in our away win and scored his first EPL goal.

We welcomed Andy Melachrino back after injury. He injects so much pace and energy for our offence.

All three lines are playing well now, with the scoring spread throughout the line-up.

As we had a nearly full bench for the Slough game, Danny Ingoldsby chose to ice for junior teams at the weekend to get as much ice time as he could to continue to develop his game. To judge by his points tally, he enjoyed himself.

Also enjoying himself at the moment is Dean Skinns, our goal tender. We wish him well as a finalist for the Gazette Sports Personality of the Year award, which recognises his fine form this season.

On behalf of everyone associated with the Bison, congratulations to Joy Johnston.

We’ve watched her referee a number of Bison games this season.

Now she has been chosen to referee the Women’s Olympic final. It’s a great honour for her and for GB hockey to be recognised in this way.

We’ve had a very busy schedule in the last few weeks and have a much-deserved Sunday off Hopefully, we will be enjoying our day off cheering on Canada to a gold medal as it’s the men’s ice hockey final at the Winter Olympics this Sunday.

But first, let’s all enjoy some live hockey on Saturday!

See you there.

All the best,

Doug
