NORTH Hampshire British Touring Car Championship drivers Rob Collard and Nick Foster are both looking forward to the 2014 season after the pair re-signed for the West Surrey Racing eBay Motors team this week.

They will once again be part of a three-man team driving BMWs with Colin Turkington, who was fifth in the championship last season, completing the trio.

All three drivers have their first testing sessions on Tuesday, ahead of the opening round at Brands Hatch on the last weekend of March.

The championship will arrive in north Hampshire when Thruxton hosts round three on the first weekend in May.

Hook driver Collard said: “Last year was the lowest I have ever finished in the championship, but the team have tweaked the car over the winter and I am really upbeat about the new season.

“It is going to be more competi-tive with a lot of new drivers coming in, but I feel we will be up there challenging with the best.”

Odiham’s Foster had a best finish of fourth last season, having enjoyed a number of podium finishes the year before.

Foster said: “Last season was tough with the new car, but by the end of the year we were in the mix.

“I really think we can now push on from this and I am looking forward to being part of it.”
