Well, we've had our ups and downs this season and I really think 7th or 8th would be a fair reflection of our overall play. We're not consistent or clinical enough to be higher but our performances against everyone deserve no lower. Only Chelsea have dominated and that was only for parts of the games. If we want to achieve it we need to win games like this one.

Greetings from Strasbourg. Hoping for a win tonight but that's a big ask. How's the weather in Hull this evening? That, the pitch and the improvements that Hull have made these past few weeks will all make it tough. But, I'll go with 3-1 to Saints.

Totally on the mark…we cannot turn quality possesion into wins and like it or not that is the name of the game..

..Uni-ted conistantly won the league of the back of undeserved wins..undeserved if you count run of play, chances etc however that IS the mark of champions ie a sniff of a chance and bang it's a goal…

We are better than 90% of the teams at possession and pressing nonetheless all but Newcastle above us are better at winning….so fellow Saints we have an interesting journey.

I feel that ALL our players will except Luke Shaw (going to Chelsea) will see out another year if MoPo stays to see out the Saints project, if they can get to the Champions league then why leave..my fear is Mo Po going this year or failure to qualify for the CL in 2015...

Probably. Don't forget, the one he pulled wide would have been blasted over or straight at a covering defender by most strikers. It was Rickie's vision to take a touch into space that created the clearer chance. Hard for me to tell on my screen but I also thought it might have clipped a defender's tackling foot as he hit it, and it was that that took it wide. As for the second one, I thought he might have got a shot in quicker but between them McShane & Harper covered brilliantly. Hope McShane wasn't too badly injured.

Not a bad half, both teams could have scored.
