CI FC staged a brave comeback but came up short, losing 5-3 at home to Redhill in the Hampshire Sunday Intermediate Cup.
The visitors led 4-1 at one stage and everything seemed to be going against CI as they hit both the post and crossbar.
They managed to drag themselves back into the game, scoring twice to trail 4-3 at one point, only for Redhill to grab a late fifth. Oliver Knox scored twice for CI, with Bobbi Frost also netting on his debut for the club.
The North Hants Chris Price Cup tie between Lamb Inn and Chineham was played on a very poor pitch, with Lamb Inn emerging 2-1 winners. Ross Cook scored both goals for Lamb, while James Harvey could only manage a consolation for Chineham.
