QUADRUPLE-CHASING Basingstoke Royals cruised through to the semi-finals of the Peter Raynbird Cup with a 6-1 victory over visiting DJS Telecoms.
Scott Harvey’s free-kick gave them the lead on 15 minutes, Craig Barker doubled the lead from the penalty spot and Nick Willcock made it 3-0 before half-time.
Willcock added a further three goals in the second half, while Lee Neal’s late penalty was scant consolation for DJS.
Skewers set up a quarter-final against either Bramley United or Welly Old Boys with a 3-1 win over Chineham Albion. Skewers led 1-0 at the break before scoring twice in the early stages of the second and while Dave Izzo pulled one back for Chineham, they were unable to make any further inroads.
The quarter-final between Popley and Hampshire Irons was called off for a second time, meaning home advantage will go to Irons when the sides try again this weekend.
