WATERLOGGED pitches were once again responsible for the postponement of a host of football fixtures over the weekend.

Hartley Wintney's home game against Windsor in the Combined Counties League Premier Division was washed out. In the Wessex League, Bemberton Heath Harlequins' premier division trip to Whitchurch United and Tadley Calleva's home game against division one rivals Team Solent were also called off.

A number of games in the Basingstoke and District Saturday League were also postponed, a trend that followed in the Sunday League the following day.

Hartley and Whitchurch will be hoping that the weather eases off before tomorrow night, as both are due to be in action.

Hartley are supposed to be hosting struggling Chessington and Hook in a league game, while Whitchurch are due to travel to local rivals Stockbridge in the North Hampshire Senior Cup.
