- FULL-TIME - Basingstoke Town 0 Sutton United 1
- Town lose to Conference South play-off rivals in terrible conditions at the Camrose.
- Jamie Taylor scores what proves to be the winner for Sutton on 16 minutes.
- Town end the game with 10 men after losing Adam Green to a second yellow card in the closing stages.
- Town keep faith with the side that beat Eastbourne 3-1 last weekend.
That's all for today from me folks. Remember to log in for live coverage of the Bison's game against the Sheffield Steeldogs tonight.
Today's results have seen Town drop down a place to 11th in the table, but they remain just three points off the play-off places.
A post-match interview with Basingstoke Town manager Jason Bristow can be seen by clicking here.
Elsewhere, Basingstoke RFC lost 14-10 at home to Guernsey, Southampton beat Yeovil 2-0 in the FA Cup, Reading lost 2-0 at Ipswich in the Championship and London Irish went down 22-15 at Wasps in the Premiership.
Another game Town probably should have got something out of. They had enough opportunities but could not take them.
They were not helped by the weather but this could be a crucial result come the end of the season.
Reaction to follow.
Basingstoke Town 0 Sutton United 1
Adam Green - Basingstoke Town
Sutton break and Slabber goes down as he looks to run past Green. There didn't seem to be an awful lot of contact but the referee deems it a free-kick and a second yellow card for the Town left-back.
Town look to have a spell of late pressure and that's a good block to stop Simon Dunn's shot from the edge of the area.
Basingstoke Town - Robbie Rice and Robbie Matthews on for Nathan Smart and Shaun McAuley (85)
Nice effort from Slabber, who lets fly from the angle of the penalty area but sees the ball fly narrowly wide.
So close for Manny Williams, who lets fly from the edge of the area and sees Gregory push the ball onto the post and wide. The referee clearly didn't see the 'keeper's touch though. He gives a goal-kick.
Adam Green - Basingstoke Town
Green catches Haysman late and goes into the book.
Dale Binns - Sutton United
Binns catches McAuley late to earn himself a yellow card.
Basingstoke Town - Simon Dunn on for Wes Daly (73)
The wind has died down a bit now, but there's still a strong breeze in favour of the visitors.
Haysman's cross is met by Sawyer but he can only head over. Not far over mind.
A good challenge from Binns stops McAuley getting in but he does manage to cross and Wright's header at the back post forces a save out of Gregory. Might have just been going wide.
Sutton United - Kane Haysman on for Jamie Taylor (67)
Rhys Weston - Sutton United
Weston is booked after catching Partridge late.
The wind is making this a bit of a farce. Two successive clearances from Town end up behind the players attempting to clear.
Dundas lets fire from the edge of the area and it gets caught on the wind, with Wells having to make a late adjustment to make the save.
The weather is awful now, with driving rain hammering into Town's faces.
Having said that, they create a chance for McAuley but he can only fire an angled shot over the crossbar on the stretch.
Wells is down well to claim Scannell's low ball across goal.
The weather has taken a real turn for the worse. The wind is even stronger and supporters are running for cover as the rain comes down.
Alex Wynter's shot from range is blocked by Smart, with Sutton's half-hearted appeals for handball waved away.
Nathan Smart - Basingstoke Town
Smart catches his man late and is the first Town player in the referee's notebook.
Taylor fires in a shot from range but it's easy for Louis Wells.
Scannell goes close to doubling the lead, his effort from 20 yards flying narrowly over with Wells beaten.
Town just about manage to smuggle the ball away from Craig Dundas' low cross.
Sutton get the second half started.
Not sure I've ever been this cold at a football game b4,wait a minute I have, last tues with @GeoffRampton watching @BASINGSTOKE_FC again !— @shaggyudal 25 January 2014
The players make their way out for the second half. It's still mightily windy out there. How will Town cope playing against it?
Reading and Ipswich are locked at 0-0 at the break, while London Irish are 19-10 down at Wasps.

Not much to choose between the sides in a first half somewhat spoilt by the wind and heavy pitch.
Town have probably had more possession and territory, but Sutton have looked more dangerous in the final third and have their noses in front.
I'm told Basingstoke have yet to come from behind to win this season - and it will be tough this afternoon, particularly with the wind in their faces after the break.
Basingstoke Town 0 Sutton United 1
A nice interchange with McAuley gives Green the chance to cross, but it's straight behind for a goal-kick. A good position wasted.
That's a great challenge from Ray. Taylor looked in the clear but the Town defender timed his tackle brilliantly on the edge of the area.
Basingstoke went straight up the other end and should have had a chance, but Soares' pass to Williams was dreadful, going through to the goalkeeper when Town had men over.
Louie Soares is brought down 25 yards out and Wright takes the dead-ball. It's a very good effort that clears the wall but does not come down in time, bouncing off the top of the angle of bar and post.
Green's free-kick from halfway gets caught on the wind and takes a tricky bounce - but Gregory is able to sort himself out and claim the ball.
So close to an own-goal. Matt Partridge was played in down the Town left and his angled shot could not be held but Sutton 'keeper David Gregory.
Charlie Clough was on hand to clear ahead of Ben Wright, but he so nearly put through his own net, the ball barely clearing the crossbar.
Taylor almost has strike partner Danny Slabber clean through but the Sutton front man's touch lets him down.
Sutton break from a Town corner and it takes a good clearance from Adam Green to cut out Lee Sawyer's low centre.
Basingstoke Town 0 Sutton United 1 - Jamie Taylor (16)
Sutton get in down the left through Damian Scannell, not for the first time this afternoon. Gasson did well to get his head on the ball in but it fell to JAMIE TAYLOR.
The striker still had plenty to do but a good turn gave him the chance to smash a shot into the roof of the net. A well-taken goal.
The defender immediately makes amends though, a great defensive header denying David Ray a clear chance from the resulting free-kick.
Simon Downer - Sutton United
Downer catches Soares late and is the first player to be booked.
It's not been a great start from either side. The pitch is heavy and difficult, so we are getting a lot of high balls thrown forward.
That's a great challenge from Jay Gasson to deny Jamie Taylor after the ball broke to the Sutton man on the edge of the six-yard box. It looked a certain goal but Gasson put his body on the line and was able to deflect the ball over.
Town are playing 4-4-2, as they did last week, while Sutton are operating a midfield diamond.
Town get the first shot in, Louie Soares working space for an effort from the edge of the area, but it's easy for David Gregory in the Sutton goal.
Town get the game under way. Wes Daly must have won the toss as Town will shoot towards the Town End, with the wind at their backs, in the first half.
The players make their way out ahead of kick-off.
'Stoke are 7-0 down at home to Guernsey at present.
I must have cursed the weather. It's come over very overcast and the part of the pitch around the halfway line on the stand side is cutting up.
Other than that it still looks okay as the players make their way into the changing rooms to make their final preparations.

We also have live updates from the game between Basingstoke RFC and Guernsey this afternoon.
Elsewhere this afternoon, Basingstoke RFC are just kicking off their home game against Guernsey.
At 3pm, Southampton host Yeovil in the FA Cup, while Reading are away at Ipswich Town in the Championship. London Irish are away at Wasps in the Premiership.
I'll let you know how all four are getting on at half-time and the end of the match.
Basingstoke Town: Wells, Smart, Green, Partridge, Gasson, Ray, Daly, McAuley, Wright, Williams, Soares. Subs: Barrett, Dunn, Rice, Ibe, Matthews.
Sutton United: Gregory, Wynter, Binns, Weston, Downer, Clough, Scannell, Dundas, Slabber, Taylor, Sawyer. Subs: Sinclair, Shitta, Haysman, John, Lovelock.
It's very tight around the Conference South play-off places. Sutton sit fourth but are only four points ahead of Town, who sit 10th.
Three points today would be massive for both clubs.
I'm reliably informed that the same 11 players who started the 3-1 win over Eastbourne Borough last week will line up again today.
Both Jordace Holder-Spooner and Andrew Jenkinson miss out through injury.
Not sure about Sutton but they boast some big names in their squad for this level. The likes of Charlie Clough, Damian Scannell, Jamie Slabber, Dale Binns and Craig Dundas could all feature today.

Good luck @BASINGSTOKE_FC against Sutton today. Keep the playoffs in sight!— @MrMarkBrennan 25 January 2014
Weather-wise, it's a lovely day. The thermometer is in double figures and the sun is out.
The pitch is a bit soggy, with a couple of areas that are cutting up a bit, but it shouldn't have too much effect on the game.
Good afternoon and welcome to live updates from today's Conference South game between Basingstoke Town and Sutton United at the Camrose.
