WILLIAM Birch was the under-12 Bison’s hat-trick hero as they completed the double over the Swindon Jaguars with an 8-1 victory in Wiltshire.

The visitors won the game thanks to a magnificent seven goals in the middle session, after they scored the only goal of the first session from Lucy Beal just 10 seconds before the buzzer.

Just 20 seconds after the interval, the lead was doubled as Birch scored from Oliver Reeves’ pass.

A minute later, Birch scored again, with Harry Brewer the provider of the assist.

The goals were now coming thick and fast. Travis Penny scored and then Oliver Waites scored two goals in the space of 27 seconds.

The Herd kept going and Birch completed his hat-trick before Penny wrapped up the scoring.

The final session saw no further goals despite the visitors dominating as the home side failed to register a single shot.

The under-18 Bison lost at Slough 9-3 as they lost both the first two periods 4-1.

The Herd’s only goal of the opening 20 minutes was scored by Danny Ingoldsby.

The second session saw Matt Levy convert a pass from Jordan Gillard for the Bison’s second.

Ingoldsby, assisted by Paul Petts, completed the visitors’ scoring, whole the Bison’s man-of-the-match was defenceman Jack Standing.
