HARTLEY Wintney are up to 13th in the Combined Counties League Premier Division table after beating Bedfont Sports 5-2 at the Memorial Ground last night.
The village side’s trip to Croydon was postponed on Saturday due to a waterlogged pitch but the weather held out for the visit of basement side Bedfont three days later.
Hartley showed no mercy to the strugglers, with Sam Argent scoring twice and Shane Hollamby, Ryan Stephens and Ian Jones also finding the net as the hosts ran out comfortable winners.
Next up for Ben Dillon’s side is a home game against second-placed Windsor on Saturday, while they host struggling Chessington and Hook next Tuesday.
