WET weather and waterlogged pitches resulted in many north Hampshire football clubs seeing their games postponed on Saturday.

Hartley Wintney's trip to Croydon in the Combined Counties League Premier Division, Whitchurch United's game at Brockenhurst in the Wessex League Premier Division and Overton United's home game against Headley in the Hampshire Premier League were all cancelled.

In addition, the entire Basingstoke and District Saturday League programme was postponed, while just two matches survived in the Sunday League yesterday morning.

Whitchurch and Hartley Wintney will hoping that the weather holds out to enable them to play tomorrow night.

Hartley are due to host bottom-of-the-table Bedfont Sports, while Whitchurch take on Basingstoke Town in the quarter-finals of the Hampshire Senior Cup.
