LONDON Irish completed their Amlin Challenge Cup group games with 49-0 victory over Cavalieri Prato in Italy on Saturday afternoon.
The Exiles already knew before the game started that they would miss out on a quarter-final place after Stade Francais beat Lusitanos 48-15 on Friday night.
The French side winning the group due to a superior head-to-head record with London Irish.
However, this did not stop the Exiles racing to a 28-0 lead by half-time and in total they ran in seven tries thanks to Blair Cowan (2), Matt Parr, Declan Danaher, Andrew Fenby, Eamon Sheridan and Alex Lewington.
Shane Geraghty kicked over four conversions and Myles Dorrian added another three.
Irish are next in action on Saturday when they are away at London Wasps in the LV= Cup (kick-off 3pm).
