Benali welcome back at St Mary's

Basingstoke Gazette: FRANNY BENALI FRANNY BENALI

Saints legend Franny Benali has confirmed he is now welcome back at St Mary's.

The Nineties crowd favourite had been banned from the club but was told he was welcome back a week before Nicola Cortese's departure.

He tweeted: "For those that have been asking, I did receive a phone call from SFC saying I'd be welcomed back to St Mary's. 😊"

If Francis was told that a week ago the mystery deepens, Hmm the mind boggles, could the can of worms been opened sooner than Wednesday making that last week?

If I remember correctly, he played at under 16 level for England, at the start of his career. As a striker!!! No doubt, always a Saint, through and through. A legend as far as I'm concerned.

Yes he was. For the long term supporters, he played some amazing games. If this is true, welcome back.
