Saints manager Mauricio Pochettino yesterday pledged that no players that he wanted to keep will leave the club in the January transfer window.

Despite that statement a few players you'd imagine the Argentine would want to stay continue to be linked away.

  • (Daily Telegraph) Luke Shaw is seeking talks with the club over their future amid reported interest from Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham. Saints have apparently slapped a £30m price tag on the full-back.

  • (Daily Telegraph) Jay Rodriguez is reportedly in the same boat as Shaw as he also seeks talks with the club. The striker is reportedly due a contract extension when he reaches 45 appearances - he's currently on 42. Liverpool have been heavily linked.

  • (Mirror) Rickie Lambert is subject of renewed interest from West Ham United. The Hammers have been interested in Lambert for sometime and have apparently come back in with a £7m bid.

With the recent events at St Mary's it is unsurprising the rumours of players moving to the south coast have all but dried up. The most recent link was with Brazilian ace Diego from German club Wolfsburg.
