Hope all is well and this fellow supporter makes a speedy recovery. I would assume that the medical team were on hand and appropriate aid was given swiftly. Be good if the Echo can keep us informed please.

What a sick comment to post. A true Southampton fan would not put such a disrespectful comment on here. Such comments should be removed. My prayers are with the person who has suffered the heart attack and his or her family.

I believe he is doing okay.

The story was reported on the Echo Forum Facebook site and one of the guys on there wrote that he knows the man who was taken to hospital and he is recovering.

Thoughts and prayers to the guy, his family and friends - I hope he will make a full recovery.

Oh, and to echo other comments on the Facebook thread, well done to the emergency services. I believe this isn't the first time their quick and skilful actions have helped save a life in such a situation at a Saints match.

Bill, we were 3 rows behind him.
The medical team were fantastic, they were sorting him out in seconds.
The stewards also need to be praised they moved everyone quickly around him for access.
Like you hope he is OK.

I would hope that the heart attack victim had a sense of humour and would appreciate, the tongue in cheek comment, that would be valid to any full time Saints supporter

Just to update you - he's a good mate of mine and is on the mend.

Had a triple heart bypass last Friday and went home yesterday. A bit sore still but in good spirits. The thing that bothered him most was missing the Arsenal game!!!

And regarding the question of whether he has a sense of humour - he does. He's had a Saints season ticket for years - he's needed one!!! (joke!!)
