WEST Ham boss Sam Allardyce has revealed the name of a striker he is trying to sign for his crisis club - and it's not Rickie Lambert.
Allardyce admits the club need to obtain a work permit for Monaco forward Lacina Traore if he is to arrive at Upton Park.
Saints ace Lambert and Inter Milan's Ishak Belfodil have also been mentioned as possible new signings this month.
"We've been trying for several weeks," Allardyce said today.
"I thought I'd be talking about one new player in the country and nearly signed, but that fell into some paperwork problems again on Thursday.
"All the players you [the media] are talking about, we are interested in but we've not completed any of them yet.
"Traore is all about a work permit situation if that's to progress.
"It would have to be a tribunal for that situation.
"That's what we're looking at progressing as quickly as possible."
